As far as online calendars and to-do lists....I am riding the fence. I like writing things down and carrying it with me. But I also have a 3 year old, also known as walking destruction, and many of my planners have been murdered via spilled juice. So having a back up planner is nice, and a grocery list is too. Especially when I forget my list at home and want to go straight to the store after school. This way I can just print it off in the lab. And I think online to-do lists would be helpful for student projects. This way, if they lose the directions they can take it upon themselves to go and print a new copy, and parents know what's going on and can help students easier.

sixteen candles
I am not a fan. I made the google home page, and found it really easy to customize and change. BUT I couldn't find gadgets that I really wanted. What do I want? For one, I want updates on Texas football peeps- and there was none. Second- I want news about Afghanistan, and once again there was none. Apparently Americans have to be against a war to find out news. So I'm still having to stick to translations from Polish articles. Third, I currently have my home page set as my bank, and I love that. Why? Because I am compelled every time I open my browser to check out what bills have been processed what my savings are looking like and how I've been spending money. I like having this ridiculous compulsion, it really helps me keep my finances in check. Now, if there was a way to make a USAA gadget to add to my home page, that would be nice.
